Doris Clary Taylor

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, October 23, 2018, our Precious Lord and Savior came to Doris Clary Taylor to bring her to His table. Her place had been set and readied. All those who have gone before were awaiting her arrival. The angels were singing welcoming songs. There shall be feasting with praise and rejoicing. There shall be no more worries, stress or physical aches and pains, only happiness and joy for her now. The Light and Love of God is washing her in His Glory. The love she had here on earth has been multiplied ten thousand fold. Her smiles, hugs and love will be missed. Her spirit lives on within us all and glows down from Heaven.

Doris was born July 13, 1928, to Dallas Dalton and Mary Faison Reaves. They are already seated at His table. Also there is Rudolph Clary, her loving husband of 61 years and Harvey Taylor Jr., her loving husband of ten years, her brother Phillip Reaves, and sisters, Ernestine Reaves and Viola Daughtry and so many more family members and loving friends. Rudolph's parents Thomas and Annie Clary among them.

Left here to miss her and treasure her memory are daughters Carol (Bob) Ottina, Judy (Bill) Roberts, and Gayle O'Brien. Her grandchildren - Brian (Cindy), Shawn and Megan (Ethan) - John, Lisa (Dick), Bill Jr., and Dathan (Kasey)- BJ (Amanda) , Beth (Arron). Doris also had the following great children Brady, Cameron, Emma, Landon, and Riley, Matthew (Crystal), Jesse (Mayci), Nolan, Sydney, Cole, and Wyatt, Jameson and Owen. Doris also had great-great granddaughter Iva Kate. Doris has two stepsons Harvey (Randy) and Steve (Barbara) Taylor. She also has three loving sisters here with us still Rose Frank, Shirley Hasty, and Betsy Korkuc. We will see you again when our places are set and we feast together in His presence.

Our family will welcome all who wish to bid farewell to Doris on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at Askew Funeral Services, 731 Roanoke Ave. Roanoke Rapids, NC starting 1:00 PM, one hour prior to service. Pastor Randy Martin will conduct funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM in the chapel. Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to the Children's Noisy Offering at United Liberty Methodist Church, 2095 Chesnee Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29303, Andrew Wolfe, Pastor. Doris truly enjoyed seeing the little children shaking their red and blue coffee cans while gathering monies for special projects. It was a delight for her.

God's Grace, Comfort and Healing be upon us all.
